Six Sigma
Also known as: lean six sigma, DMAIC, six-sigma, Six Sigma Green Belt
A data-driven method for cutting variation and defects out of a process, built on the DMAIC loop: define, measure, analyse, improve, control.
Six Sigma
Six Sigma is a disciplined way to reduce variation: define the problem, measure what’s really happening, analyse the cause, improve it, and control it so it stays fixed. I’m a certified Green Belt, and the DMAIC loop is quietly underneath how I run most things.
Stripped of the belts and jargon, it’s just intellectual honesty with a structure — measure before you opine, find the cause before you fix, verify the fix held. Product work badly needs more of that.
