OKRs
Also known as: OKR, objectives and key results, OKRs
Objectives and key results: a memorable goal paired with a few measurable outcomes that prove you reached it — ambition with a scoreboard.
OKRs
OKRs pair a qualitative objective (“make onboarding feel effortless”) with two or three quantitative key results that would prove it happened. The structure’s whole job is to separate the inspiring direction from the honest measure of progress.
The failure mode I watch for is key results that track activity instead of outcomes — shipping five features is not a result, it’s a to-do list. A good key result is one you could genuinely fail, and that risk is what makes it worth setting.
